Frank Caiafa, Banville's Spirits Portfolio Director, has put together some cocktail inspiration that is perfect for the autumn season and showcases two of our newest spirits producers. This intriguing combination employs the classic cocktail template with the new hybrid Italian aperitivo, Savoia. Marsala wine-based, this part vermouth and part aperitivo, pairs nicely with the delicious and slightly sweet Prichard's Tennessee Whiskey while being bolstered by classic aromatic bitters in a bow to its historic origins.
Manhattan Italian
2 oz. Prichard's Tennessee Whiskey
1 oz. Savoia Aperitivo
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Add all ingredients to mixing glass. Add ice and stir well.
Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with brandied cherry and/or orange peel.
