Milleluci Nuragus di Cagliari DOC

    • Description :

Nuragus is the oldest grape variety in Sardinia. For Pala it is almost a member of the family, as well as being the local grape variety per excellence in the Serdiana region of the Island. Pala is one of the few producers to champion this unique variety and they do so with great success.
In the spring of 2022, Pala relaunched their "I Fiori" line and introduced MILLELUCI Nuraghus di Cagliari DOC.
Label and name inspiration: Milleluci means "one thousand lights" and this image will help you understand Sardinia, its terroir, its history... a boat ride just when the sun and the sea offer a wonderful light show.
Vineyard Sites: "Acquasassa" (Serdiana) and "Is Crabilis" (Ussana)
Vinification, Maturation, Aging: The must is obtained from a soft pressing of the grapes. After an initial cleaning and the addition of selected yeasts, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 15° C. At the end of fermentation, after a light clarification, the wine rests for a few months in stainless steel vats before bottling.
