Zinfandel Tzabaco Rancho Vineyards
-
Description :
Location: 100% Tzabaco Rancho, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California, USA
With several decades of experience working with zinfandel grapes grown at California's finest historic vineyards, we understand perfectly how to make excellent wine from it. Finding a vineyard with all the essential features for producing top quality was our goal. It must be dryfarmed, old vines, on great soil. We found that at Tzabaco Rancho Vineyard. 2023's cool season slowed ripening. Instead of harvesting in late August, when typically ripe, the fruit was ready in mid-October. The extra time on the vine allowed the grapes developed peak flavor, fully ripe seeds, and develop darker color, producing this beautiful wine. It shows a distinct minerality, exotic spice, and has ample tannins for extended bottle aging over the next decade.
