We will be celebrating Women's History Month throughout March but today we want to give a special focus to Lia Tolaini-Banville, founder and owner of Banville Wine Merchants.
•
Lia has held an integral role in the global wine industry for more than 25 years. She launched her career in 1997 when she opened a retail wine store in Winnipeg with her sister, Tina Jones. In 2004, Lia founded Banville Wine Merchants, a national wine importing company, with her father, Pier Luigi Tolaini.
•
Lia is an inspiring leader who has grown Banville Wine Merchants to a team of over 60 people with a portfolio that spans the globe, including top wine producers from Italy, France, Germany, England, Argentina and New Zealand.
•
We are proud to be a woman-owned and operated business, that is also family-owned and multi-generational. Lia also owns the highly-acclaimed Tolaini winery in Tuscany, Italy and in 2006, she conceptualized and developed four wines under her own label: Donna Laura Wines.
