Domaine Clos de la Chapelle
Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille
-
Description :
Even though it is partially hidden by the Hill of Corton, its southern exposure allows this terroir to receive plenty of afternoon sun. High on the hill, overlooking the village, the steep slopes of this vineyard have white marl and limestone soil. CDLC's tiny vineyard compromises only 0.13 hectares on vines that average 30 years old. The wine is made with the use of 33% new French oak.
Grape varieties :
Chardonnay
Vineyard age :
30-year-old vines
Soil :
White marl and limestone
Alcohol :
13.2%
Tasting notes :
A light golden color leads to a nose with great definition and aromas of citrus and green fruit. The mid-palate has a freshness the combines with good minerality and a look finish.
