Côte de Nuits-Villages

    • Description :

This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir from vines that are located in the lieu-dit of 'Préau,' in Brochon, a town in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin. The vines were first planted in the 1950s and 1960s. Grapes are hand-harvested and then destemmed. The juice is fermented with native yeasts in tank and then aged in French oak barrique with the use of 20% new wood. This special plot of old vines is called "Préau," and its soil and exposition is similar to neighboring Gevrey village vineyards. In the hands of Livera, wines from this plot have the ability to age 5 - 10 years.
