Tenuta di Trinoro

Tenuta di Trinoro Rosso Toscana IGT

    • Description :

Tenuta di Trinoro is Trinoro estate's "Premier Vin". Although Tenuta di Trinoro is Italian, Andrea Franchetti draws inspiration from the Bordeaux concept: the wine named "Tenuta di Trinoro" represents the estate's flagship wine, produced with the finest grapes and aiming for top quality and aging potential. So, in Bordeaux terms, it can be considered the estate's "Grand Vin." Each year, it strives for the highest possible quality, drawing from the color palate of four grape varieties and 50 distinctive vineyard parcels. There are no fixed recipes. No compromises. With every vintage, Tenuta di Trinoro finds a new, tailor-made expression of the richness, complexity, and elegance for which it is renowned.
Winemaking: The Merlot was brought to the cellar at the end of September, followed by the Cabernet Franc. The later-ripening Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot reached an incredible maturity, surprisingly achieved already in early October. As always, picking was managed with a radical parcelization of our vineyards, bringing 50 separate parcels into the cellar—all hand harvested. Fermentation: In stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature/ Aging: 8 months in 225-liter barriques of various passages, followed by 12 months in concrete.

      Grape varieties :

44% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot

      Soil :

The vineyard plots which were selected for Tenuta di Trinoro on clayey soils with the presence of limestone and other rocks.
