Meritage

    • Description :

      Vinification: A portion of each variety is used to create Barrel Oak's Meritage blend each year. The wine is aged in 75% French oak and 25% American oak. When blending wine, the winemaker's goal is to create layers and complexity so the taster's experience is enhanced, showing different flavors, aromas, and textures over time.

      Grape varieties :

      40% Petit Verdot, 35% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc

      Alcohol :

      13.5%

      Tasting notes :

      Notes of bright cherry, plum, and vanilla, followed by clove and star anise. Tannins will soften over time. This is a bold wine with a soft mid-palate.
