Auxerrois Moenchreben de Rorschwihr

    • Description :

The Moenchreben Vineyard covers 17ha and is located in the Eastern side of Rorschwihr. Moenchreben is an Alsatian name that means the "Monks' Vineyard”. The soil type is clayey-marly. Clay is the main component of this soft, but compact rock giving soils that are always heavy and fat. The wines from these terroirs take longer to mature. The soil gives them a powerful structure offset by an array of mineral aromas.
