Description :
Vineyard: Venturi Vineyard is located just north of Ukiah, in the Calpella Valley, on predominantly Pinole gravelly loam soils. The vineyard is CCOF Certified Organic and dry-farmed (never irrigated).
Winemaking: To allow each variety to be as expressive as possible, the grapes were picked and fermented separately. Each ferment had around 30% whole cluster inclusion and fermented indigenously. The ferments were pumped over twice (sometimes thrice!) daily to allow the aromatics to build and a balanced tannin structure to form. The grapes were gently pressed and the wines aged separately for 4 months in neutral French oak before we assembled the blend and put that wine back down to the same barrels for an additional 5 months of élevage.Grape varieties :

Tasting notes :
Plushly dark-fruited on the nose with slight peppery, savory notes from the Syrah. The palate, on the other hand, is bursting with strawberry and herbal tones from the Grenache. The high-toned raspberry flavors of Carignane lift and lengthen the refreshing finish, beckoning further sips. Well integrated flavors and a polished tannin structure makes this dynamic wine perfect for pairing or enjoying on its own.
