Vineyard: Venturi Vineyard is located just north of Ukiah, in the Calpella Valley. It's a certified organic vineyard.
Winemaking: This Zinfandel comes from the stunning Venturi Vineyard just north of Ukiah in Mendocino County. Planted in the 1950s and farmed organically, these grapes are always some of the first red grapes harvested each vintage. Whole clusters were tipped into fermenters, and the headspace was loaded with dry ice to create the anaerobic environment needed for carbonic maceration. They press the grapes just after the midway point of fermentation for tannin control and retention of the bright, juicy fruit. The wine finished primary fermentation in barrel and went fully through Malolactic before being bottled early in the year.Grape varieties :

Tasting notes :
A kaleidoscope of red fruit on the nose, with bright cherry, cranberry, and fruit leather complemented by Fall spices and stemmy notes. Translucent red fruit on the palate and a snappy peak of acidity lead to a well-structured, uplifting finish.
