Storybook Mountain Vineyards

Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

    • Description :

Notes from Storybook: "The magic paradigm matching grape and terroir has always been our goal. Since 1994, we have selected the coolest areas and lightest soils as best for Cabernet Sauvignon, lower sections with heavier soils as ideal for Merlot, and appropriate hills and hollows for Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Different clones, rootstocks and cultural practices provide further fine tuning for each site. The result? As one reviewer put it, 'overachieving Cabernet' has joined classic Zinfandel at Storybook Mountain. Storybook is a CCOF-certified organic grower.
Cooperage: 18 months in new French oak.

      Grape varieties :

      Cabernet Sauvignon

      Exposure :

      North and East

      Soil :

      Red clay loam soils

      Alcohol :

      13.9%

      Tasting notes :

Cabernet with blackberry, black cherry and cardamom infused with hints of vanilla. The palate carries these flavors gracefully without undue weight, the fruit balanced by focusing acid and young, yet resolved, tannins.
