Romane & Clément

Romane & Clément is a boutique Burgundy winery founded by Ludivine Griveau-Gemma (winemaker at Hospices de Beaune), Matthieu Bouchard (from the renowned Bouchard winemaking family), and Frédéric Hirault (finance and wine expert). Their wines highlight the diversity of Burgundy's terroirs, blending tradition with modern techniques to craft precise, terroir-driven expressions.

While Romane & Clément don't own vineyards, they work closely with organic/biodynamic growers across Burgundy. The focus is on small yields, hand-harvesting, and maintaining the purity of each terroir, ensuring sustainable practices from vine to bottle.

Precision drives their winemaking. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, with whole-cluster fermentation in reds and gentle pressing in whites. Wines age for 16-20 months in French oak (20-40% new). The result is wines with bright acidity, elegant fruit, and refined structure.
