Domaine Gérard Quivy

After practicing law for many years, Gérard Quivy decided to follow his passion for wine and took over his wife's family domaine in Gevrey-Chambertin in 1980. He is now the 4th generation winemaker at the estate. Located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in a mansion that was built in 1704. Gérard Quivy has farmed their old vines organically for several years. In the cellar beneath the house, the fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and barrel. The wines are then transferred to French oak barrels made by Francois Frères to mature for approximatley 20 months. The estate totals 7 hectares including sites in Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru and Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru.
