Le Cupole is the «second vin» of Tenuta di Trinoro and it stands side by side with this wine with a signature blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This was the first wine to be produced at the estate together with Tenuta di Trinoro. "After the waxing moon of February 2024, we tasted the 2023 parcels and the blends for Tenuta di Trinoro and Le Cupole were decided. For Le Cupole 2023 we settled on a balanced blend of almost equal parts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with Merlot adding plush silkiness and Cabernet Franc contributing with its distinctive vibrant fragrancy. The blend was completed with 14% of Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% of Petit Verdot" L.Fornaini, head winemaker.
Winemaking: Harvest usually begins in September with Merlot. Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon followed in early and mid-October, with Petit Verdot finishing later in the month. Picking focuses on cooler hours of the day.
Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days at controlled temperatures. The single parcels spent 8 months in 225-liter barriques of different ages, then blending was carried out in concrete tanks where the wine refined for another 12 months.Grape varieties :
